Historique :	Il s'agit d'une oeuvre d'un artisan bossetier lyonnais très bien identifé. Ces artisans dits faiseurs de pacotilles fondeurs de petites fonderies que l'on trouve particulièrement à Lyon. Il a toujours existé des relations privilégiées entre la région Lyonnaise et l'Auvergne. On connait de cet artiste une autre croix de procession à Aubusson d'Auvergne.

Précision_sur la representation :	Grand noeud au décor travaillé au repoussé : godrons, tête d'angelots entre festons de fruits et de fleurs, fleuron à double têtes d'angelots au départ de la croix, les extrémités des bras de la croix sont ajourés avec une tête d'angelot (deux sont brisées). Christ en bronze fondu ainsi que les bras de la croix.
